Sermorelin Program

Daily at-home injections — free consultation first

Sermorelin Program at The DRIPBaR Frisco

Sermorelin works upstream of growth hormone rather than replacing it — a meaningful difference that we explain below, along with an honest account of its regulatory status and the state of the evidence. Start with a free consultation.

What's available

Schedule a free consultation to discuss whether this program is appropriate for you. Injections are self-administered daily at home after training.

At a glance

What this session offers

A plain description of what is in the bag and what happens while you are here.

Works with your own pituitary

Sermorelin stimulates endogenous growth hormone rather than supplying it from outside.

Preserves the feedback loop

Because it acts upstream, GH is released in physiological pulses and remains subject to normal negative feedback.

Convenient at-home dosing

Daily subcutaneous injection you administer yourself after we train you.

Free consultation

No cost to find out whether this is right for you — including if the answer is no.

The science

What the research actually shows

We would rather tell you where the evidence is strong, where it is thin, and where it simply does not exist yet.

What sermorelin is

A synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone — the biologically active fragment. It binds the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating the body's own GH synthesis and release.

How it differs from HGH

Because it works upstream, GH is released in physiological pulses and remains subject to somatostatin negative feedback. The pituitary itself stays rate-limiting, which makes supraphysiologic GH levels less likely than with direct HGH administration.

A consequence worth understanding

Sermorelin requires a functioning pituitary — it cannot work where the gland itself is the problem. That is precisely why it was historically used as a diagnostic agent to test GH secretory capacity.

The evidence state, honestly

Approval was for paediatric growth hormone deficiency. Adult use for body composition, sleep, recovery or aging is off-label, and no conclusive outcome data support those uses. Be careful not to conflate sermorelin's effects with the separate — and also limited — literature on HGH in aging adults.

Who commonly considers this: Adults exploring growth hormone axis support for body composition, sleep quality or recovery, under endocrine-aware medical supervision.

Safety, screening & contraindications

  • Prescription-only. Sermorelin was FDA-approved in 1997 but the manufacturer discontinued it around 2008 for commercial reasons; there is currently no FDA-approved sermorelin product marketed in the US. What is dispensed is a compounded preparation, which is not FDA-approved and not reviewed for safety or efficacy.
  • GHRH analogs are prohibited in sport by WADA. If you are a tested athlete, this is disqualifying.
  • Not appropriate for anyone with an active malignancy.
  • Reported side effects are mostly injection-site reactions — pain, redness, swelling — plus flushing, headache, dizziness and rarely altered taste.
