The science

What the research actually shows

We would rather tell you where the evidence is strong, where it is thin, and where it simply does not exist yet.

The honest mechanism: cofactor replacement

B vitamins are coenzymes in energy metabolism. They enable ATP production; they do not themselves supply energy. That distinction matters for setting expectations.

Adequacy is the pivot

Correcting a deficiency can restore function. Adding surplus to someone already replete generally does not add function — NIH ODS says this directly for B12 and performance, and the logic extends across the B-complex.

About the word 'detox'

It has no accepted clinical definition, and your liver and kidneys perform detoxification continuously. What is real is that glutathione and its precursors — methionine, glycine, cysteine — participate in phase II conjugation. That is the mechanism worth describing, rather than implying toxin removal.

About 'glowing'

These formulas rely on biotin, a genuine carboxylase cofactor whose deficiency causes hair loss and rash. NIH ODS finds no evidence of hair or skin benefit in people who are not deficient. Please also read the biotin laboratory warning below.

Who commonly considers this: People already pursuing a fitness, nutrition or wellness routine who want convenient nutrient repletion under clinical supervision.

Safety, screening & contraindications

  • IMPORTANT — biotin-containing blends interfere with laboratory tests. The FDA has warned that high-dose biotin distorts biotin-streptavidin assays, falsely altering troponin, thyroid and vitamin D results, and one patient death has been linked to a falsely low troponin. Tell any clinician ordering labs that you receive biotin.
  • Injectable vitamin blends are prescription compounded preparations administered by licensed clinicians. Compounded products are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed for safety or efficacy.
  • No disease claims are made for any blend.
  • Tell us about all medications and supplements so we can track cumulative B6, zinc and biotin.
